Matchtight: What we do

Matchtight was launched in 1992 by Caroline Searle, a former freelance sports journalist and Olympic press officer. The company was formed to assist sports in building their media profile whilst delivering an appropriate service to journalists, photographers and broadcasters.

Caroline’s experience of major single-sport events and multi-sports Games as well as an ability to work with leading athletes has proved invaluable to the company’s clients.

Bryn Vaile MBE, an Olympic sailing gold medallist, joined the company full-time in 1994 having worked on many previous projects with Matchtight in a freelance capacity. Bryn brought with him a wider perception of marketing and sponsorship fields having worked for Mobil Oil in these arenas.

Matchtight is able to work comfortably with all elements of the “mix” in sport and business including athletes, coaches, team managers, event directors/managers, sponsors, press officers and the media. We can work strategically and pride ourselves on achieving success within budget.
