Caroline Searle, a former freelance sports journalist and Olympic press officer, launched Matchtight in 1992. Caroline’s experience of major single-sport events and multi-sports Games as well as an ability to work with leading athletes has proved invaluable to the company’s clients.

Bryn Vaile MBE, an Olympic sailing gold medallist, joined the company full-time in 1994 having worked on many previous projects with Matchtight in a freelance capacity. He also has considerable understanding of the winter Olympic sports.

The company now has a sister agency, called SportsPace Consultants which handles strategic consultancy work.
